- With the ruling from the Speaker's office there has been an understandable concern that the voices of opposition parties are being stifled. The amount of questions allowed for the members of the smaller opposition parties has not decreased, but the order that they are assigned might mean less questions asked by the opposition. Laurie has stood beside her fellow opposition MLAs because this ruling has implications in silencing dissenting voices in the legislature.
